Facts and product features of Wunderlich Suspension powered by TracTive eS2 PRO shock absorbers

The eS2 shock absorber line is an integrated, modular retrofit solution. Except for the standard electronic preload adjustment (EPA), all other components are replaced by high-performance TracTive components.

For extreme use: The PRO version. Extra reinforced, integrated, adaptive, electronically regulated and controlled high-performance shock absorber of the latest generation as an upgrade or replacement for the standard suspension. Developed to meet the highest demands of discerning adventure and touring riders, as well as those seeking additional safety reserves.

The exceptional performance of this shock absorber is impressive. It can be electronically connected to the motorcycle via plug & play without further adjustments. The selection and setting of the desired riding mode is conveniently carried out as usual via the handlebar controls.

We select the spring rate individually based on your personal riding profile specifications.

  • Damping characteristics
  • Our shock absorbers are specifically developed for each vehicle and intended use, offering high performance and impressive reserves
  • The balanced, sensitive damping behavior of our suspension components ensures neutral, predictable handling and builds rider confidence for more enjoyment
  • The shocks impress with excellent, transparent feedback. They optimize tire-to-road contact, wheel guidance, and tracking stability while reducing tire wear
  • The shock absorber features the patented TracTive DDA (Dynamic Damping Adjustment) valve, delivering outstanding damping dynamics and performance, raising responsiveness to a whole new level
    • The DDA valve is fully compatible with the motorcycle’s ECU and processes its control signals
    • Compared to the factory suspension, the DDA valve has a larger adjustment range and reacts significantly faster – in 6 to 10 milliseconds
  • Individual damping adjustment: The high-quality shock absorber offers high- and low-speed compression settings, meaning damping can be adjusted based on the compression speed (or how fast the damping piston moves)
  • The DDA valve and extensive adjustment options for compression fulfill the highest demands of adventure and touring riders. They significantly enhance comfort and safety and can help reduce frame stress
  • To achieve optimal, sensitive response,
    • the oil channels are generously dimensioned to minimize flow resistance
    • we use large-diameter pistons (46 mm)
    • low-friction seals and special shim stacks are employed
  • These closed-type shock absorbers feature an external, forged aluminum reservoir that enhances thermal stability and performance through optimal heat dissipation
  • The ample oil volume and large cooling surface ensure
    • low, optimal operating temperatures
    • which not only result in consistently high performance
    • but also extend the lifespan of both the shock and the oil
  • Spring characteristics and preload
  • Integrated, standard electronic preload adjustment (EPA): All components except your bike’s factory EPA unit are replaced by TracTive high-performance parts
  • The operation of the original EPA remains unchanged
  • PRO
  • PRO shock absorbers are the best for extreme applications. They are built even more robustly, and their responsiveness is optimized by selected components and low-friction seals. Key features of the PRO version include:
    • Shock body made of steel
    • Stainless steel bushings
    • Special low-friction seals with added sealing (so-called back-up rings)
  • Tuning
  • Special Wunderlich Suspension tuning for adventure and touring riders with high demands on their suspension
  • Customization
  • We select the spring rate individually based on your riding profile specifications: Once you've selected your shock absorber, you define your personal specs during the ordering process – these are the basis for choosing the right spring for you
  • Maintenance
  • Every shock absorber can be fully serviced professionally at the Wunderlich Suspension Center
  • Suspension tool included

Note on compatibility

For all Euro 5 models, the original shock absorber splash guard cannot be reused with the Wunderlich Suspension by TracTive shock. Please order the shock splash guard set from your BMW dealer (Original BMW part no. 33548532478).
