Electronically controlled high-performance shock absorber of the latest generation, as an upgrade or replacement for the original suspension. Developed to meet the highest demands of discerning adventure and touring riders, as well as those seeking additional safety reserves. With electronic preload adjustment (EPA).

The exceptional performance of this shock absorber is compelling. It connects electronically to the motorcycle via plug & play without any further adjustments. The selection and adjustment of the desired riding mode is conveniently made using the handlebar controls as usual.
We individually select the spring rate based on your personal rider profile specifications.

• The DDA damping valve is fully compatible with the motorcycle’s control unit and processes its control signals
• Compared to the factory suspension, the DDA valve has a broader adjustment range and responds significantly faster – in 6–10 milliseconds
• Individual damping adjustment: The high-quality shock absorber features high- and low-speed compression adjustment. This means the compression damping can be tuned based on the speed of the compression stroke (or the speed at which the damping piston moves during operation)
• The DDA valve and the wide range of damping adjustment options meet the highest expectations of sport and touring riders. They noticeably enhance comfort and safety while helping to reduce frame stress
• To achieve optimal, sensitive responsiveness:
• oil channels are generously dimensioned to minimise oil flow resistance
• we use large-diameter pistons (46 mm)
• as well as low-friction seals and special shim stacks
• These closed shock absorbers feature an external forged aluminium reservoir, which supports the system’s thermal stability and performance through optimal heat dissipation
• The generous oil volume and large cooling surface ensure
• low, optimal oil operating temperatures,
• which not only provides stable top-level performance,
• but also extends the lifespan of the damper and the oil

• Spring characteristics and preload
• Electronic preload: The shock absorber is equipped with a sealed, robust stepper motor drive for preload adjustment. Unlike many original electronic dampers, the stepper motor is located inside the shock body and optimally protected from water and dirt. The robust adjustment mechanism withstands the harshest conditions
• The broad adjustment range allows for compensation of a wide range of load conditions

Compatibility note

For all Euro 5 models, the original shock splash guard cannot be reused in combination with the Wunderlich Suspension by TracTive shock absorber. Please order the splash guard set for the shock absorber from your BMW dealer (Original BMW part no. 33548532478).
