Wunderlich Suspension Shock absorber S1 + HPA
Facts and product features of the Wunderlich Suspension powered by TracTive S1 HPA shock absorbers
The S1 HPA shock absorber is the first upgrade for riders who want to optimise their standard suspension or replace an ageing OEM unit with a higher-quality alternative. Each high-quality all-round shock absorber features a damping setup developed specifically for the respective model and intended use, and is primarily aimed at touring riders who generally ride with the same damping setting. With hydraulic spring preload adjustment (HPA).
We individually select the spring rate based on your personal riding profile specifications.
- Damping characteristics
- Our shock absorbers are developed specifically for each vehicle and intended use, delivering performance and impressive reserves
- The balanced, sensitive damping behaviour of our suspension components ensures neutral, predictable handling and strengthens confidence in your motorcycle – and therefore your riding enjoyment
- The shock absorbers impress with transparent feedback: they optimise tyre contact with the road surface, wheel guidance and directional stability, and reduce tyre wear
- Rebound and compression adjustment allows individual fine-tuning of the damping using the suspension tool
- With a range of 18 clicks, you can set a perfectly balanced damping tune – each click delivers a noticeable change in damping
- To achieve optimum response behaviour,
- nitrogen and damper oil are separated inside the shock body by the piston,
- we use large-diameter pistons (46 mm) to minimise oil flow resistance
- as well as low-friction seals
- The generously dimensioned oil volume ensures
- an optimal operating oil temperature,
- stable damper performance
- and a longer service life of both damper and oil
- Spring characteristics and preload
- Hydraulic spring preload: the shock absorber is equipped with an encapsulated, very robust hydraulic preload adjuster. Preload is set conveniently via an easily accessible handwheel.
- The wide adjustment range compensates for a broad variety of load conditions
- Tuning
- Special Wunderlich Suspension tuning for touring riders with high demands on their suspension
- Customisation
- We individually select the spring rate based on your personal riding profile specifications: after choosing your shock absorber, you simply define your personal specifications during the ordering process – they form the basis for selecting the spring that suits you
- Maintenance
- Each shock absorber can be fully and professionally serviced at the Wunderlich Suspension Center
- The suspension tool is included in the scope of delivery
