Note on Backward Compatibility: While the 689cc parallel-twin engine block remains physically identical to previous model years, Akrapovič released the S-Y7R15-APT specifically for the 2026 iteration to accommodate factory bodywork tweaks and minor bracket updates. Critical Fitment & Electronics Realities
- ECU Flashing Strongly Advised: Because this open race system eliminates backpressure and the factory catalytic converter, the 2026 model's tight O2 sensor tracking parameters will detect the change. Running this pipe on stock fuel maps risks leaning out the engine and will trigger an Engine Check Light (CEL). A bench ECU flash or a dedicated fuel module is highly recommended to maximise power gains and avoid flat spots.
