YAMAHA YZF-R7 2021-2025 - Akrapovic Exhausts System - S-Y7R12-APT
£1,219.00
Model Compatibility
- Yamaha YZF-R7 (2021–2025)
- Yamaha YZF-R7 ABS (2021–2025)
Note on 2026+ Models: While the engine block remains identical, Akrapovič officially superseded this part number with the updated S-Y7R15-APT for 2026 models to accommodate subtle factory bodywork modifications and tighter integration with the newer lower fairing brackets.
Key Performance Specifications
- Road Legality: Strictly not street legal. It is an un-catalysed track-only configuration with no EC/ECE type approval, designed solely for closed-course competition.
- Materials: Crafted with a premium, lightweight titanium outer muffler sleeve and end-cap, connected to high-grade stainless steel 2-into-1 loop header pipes.
- Performance Maximisation: Drops backpressure dramatically to unlock an extra 5.9 hp (4.3 kW) at 9,700 rpm and adds 2.9 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Weight Reduction: Shaves 3.0 kg (roughly 39% lighter than the restrictive, single-piece factory assembly).
- Sound Profile: Emits an authentic racing roar that increases volume to a deep 100.0 dB at 5,000 rpm (up 13.7 dB over stock). It features a hidden removable noise-reducing baffle (dB killer).
Fitment & Setup Integration
- ECU Map Recommended: Running this open racing layout significantly leans out the air-to-fuel ratio because it removes the catalytic converter. To prevent flat spots and ensure optimal engine lifespan, an ECU flash or a specialized fuel mapper configuration is highly recommended.
- Fairing & Hanger Clearances: The primary collector resonator box is engineered to sit low beneath the oil pan so it remains completely hidden behind the factory original lower fairings.
- Pillion Peg Option: It bolts smoothly alongside stock rear footpegs. If you are prepping the bike purely for solo track duty, it pairs with the optional Akrapovič Aluminium Hanger Bracket (Part Number: P-MBY7R5)
